I've seen the alcantera care page, but that's got more spot/stain removing than general cleaning info. I really don't want to soap/water my seats ... something about that doesn't sit quite right.

How do you guys clean your alcantera? Mine's silver btw. I was thinking about renting a steam cleaner. Yes? No? Thoughts?

Default Do you steam clean your t-shirts, too?

;_p

Soap and water should do the trick on your alcantara, and dry with a wet/dry shop vac with a CLEAN nozzle.

I wouldn't take a chance at shrinking the fabric by doing something not recommended. It will come clean!

Default Whatever you do, DO NOT use alcohol on the Alcantara....

I got some sticky substance on my driver's seat a few months ago (really hot day and the FAst Lane pass came unglued from the windshield and landed sticky side down on the seat). I went to the website and I even emailed the company. They suggested using rubbing alcohol to clean it off. Well, I poured some alcohol on a paper towel and rubbed the area for a little while. The blue dye started to rub off the seat onto the paper towel. After about 15 minutes of this, I had several blue paper towels and the sticky **** was still on my seat.

Soap and water has worked for everything I've encountered so far.

it's working.... slowly.... very very slowly. I can't believe how bad the water is out here... CLR .... the stuff is amazing.... not as amazing as the water is bad though!
