Default okay... new problem reared its head today

1st notice: sitting at stoplight, cars idling funny, step on it, everything seems okay, i let car sit and idle for 5 min's, i stop and listen to it, it doesnt sound like its idling quite right, sort of "hicuppy" , okay, so i decide to drive home, it was fine, till i get off the freeway, then as i pull from a light i cant get any throttle, i step on the gas and get no response, i cant get the rpm's to rise, then about a second or 2 later it slowly started to come up, is this the MAF? i have a hitachi MAF, X Chip, 710N valves, stock F hose and TBB, what could be causing this? (btw the clutch is broken in and ready to go :-P but now i cant go WOT )
thanks for teh advice as to what to check and now i cant get any kind of consistent throttle response

Default wow fixed it, its always the thing you never think of

i took apart everything, F-hose = fine, TBB = fine, checked IC hoses, and then i never thought to checking the clamp on the MAF... the clamp had pushed its way off of the MAF on the Y pipe side, and was pulling air around the MAF so it wasnt getting proper readings.... oh what a difference that made.. sigh.. coulda been a 10 min job vs a 3 hour job... *sigh*

Default Buddy your not alone.....

I had the same problem last weekend. I did the same stuff as you. I checked everything, when i was about to button the car up and get ready to take it to the stealer, out of the corner of my eye i caught the pipe that seperates the maf from the y-pipe looked kinda half off. Reattach clear the codes etc take it out on a high speed run, all is well. Yes a 5 minutes fix that that took 3 hours instead.

If you drove it more you would start getting misfires etc.
