Default Is old school ABT code the same as new AMS?

I know that ABT was marketed under AMS but have there been any revisions to the code?

Just curious I've got ABT stamped on my A Box ECU.

Also, if I'm running old school code, would I gain much by switching to new GIAC or APR? Or should I just save the money for K04's?

On a side note the ABT chip is great, but that's all I've ran.
