OT: To dig-camera geeks: Any of these worth the price? How many pixels(?) should I be looking for?

I've already seen many sample photos of the D100 on various Web sites. But thanks anyway.
I like the CP 5000 because it's compact, has a wide-angle lens (28mm), and produces some nice images, but I don't like its viewfinder. It seems to show only about 75% of the image, and you always have to worry about parallax error.
I would love to get the D1x, but that's a little too pricey for me. So I have my eye on the D100 or -- possibly -- the new CP5700.
