I can't stand it...I get into more races with my stock GTI 1.8T than anything...I've met at least 2 M3's on the highway already..this sux...why can't it be when I'm in the big boy!!

Well..having said that...I'm heading to AWE Friday to get a chip put in the GTI ...followed closely by exhaust/intake/whatever...
Marc

Default yeah, but dont worry bout it too much...once u get a chip/exhaust in there it'll fly...(m)

in my 1.8 i've been able to only slowly lose ground against an m3 from 80-125....how? i dont honestly know, but whatever works, right? =) so in the gti i would think that you might be able to SERiously surprise some bi_#h @$$ m3s...(oh, and i do have respect for m3s, just not too many of their owners - except for leepy, of course....cant wait to run into some of the E46 m3s, especially b/c they'll only be driven by the more mature, more 'sophisticated', and classy bmw enthusiasts, at least until they depreciate in value...and i buy one

Default Not really. Helps to have a VR6. However, I know better not to play with them.

My GTIVR6 loves to play with M3's, but only on Georgia 400 doing atleast 80-100. I've got a stacked vr6 with Garrett chip (what I am going to put on my new S4), exhaust, etc., and everything. It's off the line that I'm screwed. My VR6 needs a sixth gear at high speeds so that helps me keep up with bimmers. I kill 318ti's. Those cars are tin cans.
2001
