paaint it so no one decide to do an elbow drop on your trunk
and see if you have anything good inside. IMO i wouldnt want a noticable peice of carbon on my car.

Yeah you have a point. All I do is go to work in a high security parking lot though.....
Plus since it's carbon they would have to cut it with a radial saw to get in. Theoretically it should be ok. If I wanted to paint it I would most likely just sell it. Between the hood and trunk I saved about 70-80lbs or so. The weight savings are barely noticable on the street. It's mostly for the looks factor. The trunk is a very nice piece with a thick gel coat and high gloss finish. I would feel kinda bad about covering it all up.
