Default paging Hal_$4Shizzle - couple NAV / CAN connection questions for you

looks like the CAN wires in my symphony harness are dead, so i'll have to tap the ones in the cluster. What did you use to add the right pins to the harness? Have any pics? Thanks sir!

Default The p/n for the pins are in the link i sent you (in case you didn't see them). They're the last

line of the write-up, i think.

Default Sorry, missed this. Nothing like having 2 dead S4s in your garage at the same time heh.

I have some PNs for pins that should work but you should have either 3 or 5 spares in the instrument cluster harnesses depending on whether your car came with US Nav(3 spares) or without(5 spares). There should be at least 2 in the center(grey) plug where you'll need to patch CanH and CanL into pins 5 and 6(luxury Can bus) for the radio/nav to display to. Make sure to twist them together(twisted pair, supposed to be).

This help? Email if you need/want to. Should be around some tomorrow to help.

Thx Donnie for covering =-) - you ever get the pack I sent? Maybe April'ish timeframe?

Default I think there are 3 pin spares in the middle(FIS) plug, not sure what pin positions they are in.

You'll see them in the first few pin slots iirc. If you have US Nav there will be an orange and brown pair of wires(I may have the colors wrong - been a long time since I've done a TMC) in pins 5 and 6, you can splice into these or pull one of the other plugs to get the spares/blanks out.

Ping me if you'd like. Want pics once you're done =-)
