Default I'm not Mark P, but...

He got an extra nozzle (0.8mm) and a y-splitter. He didn't get an accumulator, but he's thinking of adding one, so it might be good for you to purchase one of those up front.

He also got some extra lengths of tubing, but I don't believe he used any of it.

Beyond that, the misc. Home Depot hardware and stuff.

What does the accumulator do? how does the pressurized air not make its way into the water system. you think once the car and the system is off the water will 'dribble' out of the nozzle?

Default The accumulator absorbs pressure surges from the pump and...

holds them in reserve in case pressure drops off too much. Basically to prevent you from running out of pressure while injecting water.

I'm not sure how smart the system is in terms of keeping air out of the lines, but thats why Mark tapped the washer tank below the low level sensor. So whenever the low washer fluid warning is on, he'd probably turn off the water injection until he refills the tank. Should minimize the chance of getting air into the system.

The Aquamist kit contains an electronic valve before the jets that prevents water from passing through when the system doesn't need to inject water, so 'dribbling' isn't a concern.

Hmm from his pix it looks to me he tapped it pretty high I was going to do mine at the bottom of the tank.. Maybe mark can chime in and tell me how the system keeps pressureized air from the turbos out of the aquasystem when its not in use. Does it have a check valve?

Default The "low level" switch is about 1/2 way down the tank...

Its well above the windshield jet pump but below the headlight washer pump (so if you are low on fluid, the windshield nozzles will continue to function while the headlight washers won't waste fluid). This was a good spot for tapping, since it was above the pump mounting location to keep the pump primed with a gravity feed of fluid.

The electric valve that keeps the water from "dribbling" out will also keep the air from getting into the system. Bear in mind that the water is pressurised to 100psi, which is more than enough to overcome the puny 20-25 psi of boost.

The Aquamist kit is really a well designed and thought-out setup.

Default just seeing this now, but it looks like DAP took care of replies - let me know if there's anything

else.

I think we did use some of the extra tubing that I purchased, but I'm not 100% sure. Also, I'd suggest getting some of the 90degree elbows for both 4mm and 6mm tubing in advance to make routing of the tubing easier in some areas.
