Default PDX people: Short notice, but anyone want to do dinner on Wednesday?...

I'm going to be in Portland Wednesday night on my way up to Wa. & wanted to know if anybody wanted to meet up for something to eat in the evening. I was thinking of Montage, but wherever else you guys like is fine with me, maybe one of the Mcmenamins or something. I wanted a chance to check out all the A4's and S4's. It was a couple years ago in the Portland rain that I decided that an Audi Quattro was going to be my next car.

Post or email me, I'm leaving tomorrow morning.

Default I have a report due that night. Probably not best to commit to anything.

What type of food does the Montage have anyway, and where is it near? I've heard of it, but never been. I'm a huge fan of Oba's in the Pearl District. Probably new since you were last here...
click for registry

Default Montage is literally UNDER the Morrison Bridge, You turn right off MLK at Morrison and go one block.

Its on the right hand side (sign is a big "M"). It was a pretty hip spot 2-3 years ago, I don't know about know, its kind of a creole/american type thing. I think there's a review on oregonlive.com. Wherever sounds fine to me. I think I saw that Oba is kind of a "new" southwest place, which is fine with me. I'll email you my cell #, just call me tomorrow or wednesday to let me know if you can make it. If you can email anyone else that might be interested, that would be cool. I know some of the Oregon people are in PDX, but some I guess are in Eugene too. BTW, I'll be staying in L.O. only a couple blocks from the Stanfords you all met at a few months back.

Default Is that the place with the ivy like terrace outside?

Apparently it used to suck, so I never went, but that was a long time ago. It appears to be hip again, so I'd be willing to try it.

Oba's is South American, not SW American. On the more expensive side, but very good.

I'll send out a notice to the list. Montage is closer to where I park, so I'll say there then (esp. since that is where you wanted to go).

Send me your cell, and hopefully I can finish my report. (so ironic, eh?) ;-)
click for registry

Default Mmmm.. Frog legs, (Montage is a Cajun place) works great for us pseudo-frenchies

I've been there, it's a blast (I think, YMMV)

neat art, funky wait people, different menu.

sounds like fun...
