Well long story short i fubar'd mine...what is the name of this part, does any one have any for sale? Where is the cheapest place to buy it, also is there a special kind of bolt that holds this in place, i dont think i have any. Also how bad is it to drive without this for a short time. Thanks!

Default ECS Tuning is the cheapest. Or...

You can get a VW W8 cover from them for about $55 (Audi version is around $130 IIRC) and it is a pretty much a perfect fit on B5s. I have been going through the hell of having to get the belly pan/sound damper cover (whatever the hell you wanna call it) replaced multiple times. I am about to fabricate a Carbon Fiber one with aluminum honeycomb reinforcing the critical areas that are prone to breaking. Not sure how much interest there is, but I'll post a feeler post to see.
