Default Played with an E46 M3 today.....

So I was crusing along when I see a pair of Xenon lights coming over the horizon. I figure 330/328/325 when it comes up closer, but when it goes by I notice it was a 2 door and the dual exhaust pipes. Fliped a bitch right there and took off after him.
Almost no traffic and we both come to a red light. (WHOOO YOOOOO!!!!) I looked over at him and he and his buddy were trying to figure out what type of Audi I had (Debadged). He must have decided I was a 1.8T. I left the light normally and he stayed back a bit. Then I saw the car lurch, and he came flying up figuring he would blow by me and loose me right there. I down shifted to 2nd and it was on. You should have seen the look on his face when I hung with him. I swear to god his jaw dropped and just hung there.
We came to the next red light and did the whole pre-race ritual of revving the engines, etc..... Light turned green, we both launched, and it was DEAD even. He would gain half a car, I would gain it back, I would gain half a car, he would gain it back. We did this all the way up to 100 and shut it down. For yet ANOTHER red light.
This time we both creeped out of the light wainting to see who was gonna go first. We creeped in to seconed, then he floored it and gained half a car right off. I made it up in third, but we had to shut it down because of traffic. I rolled down my window and told him I would run him again this weekend, but that my class had started 10 minutes ago. He gave me a thumbs up and we went our seperate ways.
Hopefully round two this weekend.

Default Stage 2 and it was at almost 8000ft......

The thin air really takes the bite out of those M3's.

Default Well....

The are LOUD. But totally worth it because it sounds SO sweet. When you down shift you can hear the little cherrie bombs go off. Nice low grumble at low RPM's (Like a Borla but louder) that turns into an all out scream at WOT. I love em'. I have been getting compliments all week, and I even had a couple guys ask me what type of exhaust I had.

Default Very nice showing. I have gained a lot more respect for the E46 today

because my friend let me run his a little. I had driven one before but never allowed to put the hammer down. Today he let me put it in sport mode and rev it all the way. That little button is like a constant shot of Nitrous compared to non-sport mode. I took off at a light somewhat gently but then got to wind out first and was surprised when I spun the wheels when I shifted into second. That car is definitely sweet (although I feel much more comfortable in the S, the M was a little too cramped for my size (6'2, 240)

Anyway, very nice, I am going to have to look into your setup cause now my car is just going to feel so slow
