please sign the petitition discouraging FOX to change Speedvision into an all Nascar channel.
FOX has purchased Speedvision outright and wants to change it into an All-Nascar All-the-time channel ("12 to 18 hours of Nascar material per day"). This Nascar programming will be at the expense of all the other motorsports which we can only see on Speedvision. There is plenty of Nascar on the networks, we shouldn't allow FOX and nascar to dominate everything.

no but I COULD see a benefit of that petition really getting huge...
if, in fact, they DID make Speedvision a NASCAR channel...well whose to stop someone starting a NEW Speedvision network? They have contracts and deals with afiliates that everyone is forgetting. SOMEONE might pick up the ball.

yah, it probably wont make FOX change their mind,
but I hope somebody picks up motorsport coverage in the US. In the last five years, Speedvision went from 14 M to 41 Million -- I bet most of these people signed on because of the variety of content... drag racing, classic car shows, ALMS....
who wants to watch more NASCAR? I don't really mind NASCAR and will watch it occasionally on the weekends, but 12-18hours a day?
