Default Please, someone help me buy diagnostic software....have both a laptop and PDA...

so my options are VagCom, ECUx and Shadetree prodiag, right? Which would you go for? It looks like Vag Com is the forum favourite, APR has wicked sampling rates for as many blocks as you want but shatty customer service, and prodiag is....well, more convenient. Am I right here?

Does that make APR the best choice right now? Or the 'less powerful' Vag Com b/c they have better customer service. I'm so lost 8^|

TIA
Aman

Default I don't take my own advice. I only have VAG-Com.

As we all know, you too...but yours isn't really by choice :P

Default If you buy ECUx, get ready to wait for your reg code. I'm at 9 days and counting.

Even after 4 emails and a phone call.

Default They're basically ignoring the product. No fixes since I bought it last year.

Even with several bugs I've reported. For example, on the M-box profile the EGT temps go negative when they get over 580 - makes me uncomfortable with their other algorithms and I end up using Vag-Com more often.

Of course, I can't even use ECUx right now because the old laptop I had it on is gone and I don't have the keys for the new one yet. <grumble>
