Haven't gottn there yet. Have about 4k on and its telling me about 4k to go. I'd be interested in same and if people are waiting.

If it gets too dirty before 8000, I will change it then. Always change the filter, I'd change that without oil change before I changed oil without filter!

I plan to use Amsoil 0w30 synthetic.

Currently 3300 miles, and half way down the dip stick, no oil added, yet!

I just changed the oil this morning, at 2000 miles. I out in Mobil 1 and changed the filter. A little bit of a pain being that you have to " a big piece of plastic" before you can get to the oil filter and drain plug. I changed the oil early since I think the car is well broken in now that it has been on the track at 125 mph. Mike

Not god to go synoil this early..not FULLY broken in .5000miles is the SWEET spot.

..a mileage of approx. 3000 miles at 6 months. Will the service include an oil change and if so what type? Engine won't be proprly broken in at that point.
