Poll: What you do pay to insure your S4...(more)?
I pay $852/6 months to American Family Insurance in Minneapolis.
Since we've all probably got similar demographic information (mostly male, mostly aggressive drivers), we can learn two things from posting what we pay:
(1) Which insurance companies don't like to insure the S4 (meaning: charge well-above market)
(2) Which areas of the country seem to be cheap/expensive for the S4 in particular.
(3) How insurance rates are trending generally.
Thanks,
Dave

My A8 is more to insure than the S4...
it's older, I have full coverage, and it's aluminum, so the repair costs are more. I guess that is their reasoning.
That said my wife and I are around $2400/yr for both cars, ~1000 for the S4 and ~1400 for the A8. 500 deductable, 300/100/300 full coverage with towing, rental, etc. Carrier is General Casualty and I live in a very urban section of Indianapolis, IN.
I have a total of one ticket on my record, 74 in a 55 in NY State, almost 2 years old.

Geico may have started that trend...
but I've heard that Progressive and others do the same thing; buy radar guns for police. More tickets means higher premiums, yadda-yadda.
Geico is kinda extra evil because if they find out you have a radar detector they'll deny coverage or your claim.

I always like to call GEICO for a quote and then ask them their policy on insuring radar detectors..
Not as much fun as cow tipping, but hey - I'm trying to get my point across. Don't like them just on principle alone.
