possible turbo problem?
i havnt driven my S in three days.... just 5 min ago i took it out and noticed a louder, higher pitched turbo noise, with a very slight dentist drill noise (very slight) it could be my imagination but i dont think ive ever heard this type of turbo noise from my car... does anyone have a detailed description of what the early stages of a blow sound like? think im f*ed or could this just be because its hot and i havnt driven it in a while? thank you

I Think its' your Forge valves
when the turbo's are blown they make a distinctive noise
I relly don't think there is any "telltale" noise that warns of impeding turbo failure
some people hear somthing, some don't
just drive it until you hear and UNMISTAKEABLE noise
driving Nasa's old car, taught me to relax about the turbo's
when something spins to 180K RPM and breaks..IT AIN'T subtle
BTW: for the "Sarcasm impaired"
the subject line is A JOKE

Turbos sometimes give you no warning at all...
...i know someone's who were working perfect one minute and completely gone the next. no noise, no warning. Literally no noise afterwards either. No whistle. Can you imagine that, an S4 with no whistle. THat's like a dog losing his sense of smell!!

"It's" is a contraction; but "its" is the possessive >>>
"it's" is a contraction of either "it is", or "it has".
"its" is the possessive form of "it" - for example, "entering the turn on a wet oil-slicked road, the car lost its grip"
