Default Pressure testing. How much air pressure do I use?

Right now I'm getting a boost leak and only get 12 psi boost. Then it ramps up slowly to about 15 or 16 psi. I used to get 17 psi instantly when going WOT. Do I have to pressurize the line to at least 12 psi to see the leak or will around 10 psi be enough. I know AWE says no more than 15 psi would be necessary.

Default use as much as you run, alot of people say 10 psi max but thats just dumb

if you boost 20 psi and only test to 10 then you might not actually find a leak that is present while driving

Default I've said it, due to the bentley, but Snow has a point as well.

Take precautions though.

Remove your MAF!!!! Or you might break it. Use a nice nut driver to tighten the hose onto the Ypipe tight.

I would also place a piece of thicker cardboard between the pressure checker and all your connectors (02's, EGTs etc) (just to be safe), I would also have a thick towel over my fender.

I would start lower and listen and feel and use a spray bottle with soapy water to "verify" there is no leak, turn it up 5psi at a time maybe?

Maybe I take too many precautions but then I've seen carnage from this simple process (luckily not a lesson I had to learn the hard way)

Default yea if using an air compressor be sure it can only output 20psi max, the pressure will

start to creep on you and yes the tester will blow off if not tight. keep an eye on the guage if you are using one and also the rubber coupler ( you can see it expanding)
