Problem after clutch job

Problem after clutch job
After I got my new RS4 clutch put in my car, I came across a big problem... my car won't start.
I turn the ignition and the engine turns, but won't start. I thought it was a dead battery, so I got a battery charger... no luck.
On the instrument panel, it says to press the clutch to start the car even when I have it pressed in.
Another thing I noticed was that my brake pedal is VERY stiff right now.
So, anyone have any idea on what may be causing the issues?

It is called the "G28 Engine Speed (RPM) Sensor" it provides feedback for speed and also a reference
to TDC#1 cylinder. If the sensor is unplugged (Grey Wire in the harness) the car will not start or if running and goes bad immediately shuts the car down.
Check the wiring and that it was properly installed. Located about 11:00 on trans bellhousing just adjacent to DS turbo. You can catch a glimpse through wheel well, tire off. Use a 10mm to remove.
If you want to test sensor, probe outside terminals, there are three but probe middle #2 and #3 (rounded side of connector) using DVM and readings should be 730-1000 ohms.
Then check between #1 and #2, and #1 and #3, readings should show open circuit or infinite ohms, if they do not, G28 is fubared and should be repalced.
Anyway good luck and let us know how you make out.
