PSA: Leaving your dongle plugged into the OBDII port will drain your battery:-/
I've just got down to diagnosing a pesky battery drain today. I had a 130mA drain and started tearing my car apart disconnecting all the aftermarket stuff first. It came time to remove the kick panel to disconnect some eyelets at the power distribution block so I pulled out the ross-tech dongle and viola! My battery drain dropped from 130mA to 50mA. D'oh!

Piggie told me the same thing when he saw me leaving my car sitting with it plugged in.
With that said, I've done the same as you (not quite to that extent....only about a week or 10 days) and no ill effects AFAIK.
