Question about VM2
There are 2 version available
one is standard, another one is resonator
I'm wondering are those tips exchangeable?
Is it hard to change them?
What's the difference (sound) of those 2?
Thanks

The VM1 is non-mandel bent, whereas the VM2 is mandrel bent...
The tips are available for the VM2 only. You can have resonated or non- on the VM2 but not the VM1, from my understanding.

Re: VM2 love the sound!
I was unsure about VM1 vs. VM2 and then the non resonated vs resonated tips. So, after talking with Rob @ UUC (He's really helpful) we decided to take a chance and go for the VM2 with non-resonated tips.
I LOVE THE SOUND. I told Rob today that they could make it louder. It has a nice growl, yet non-obtrusive. Sounds w-o-n-d-e-r-f-u-l running thru the gears. At normal highway speds- you don't notice it. My wife even likes it (and she made me remove the performance exhaust on my A4 because it was too loud).
UUC has hit the mark with this. They should offer a louder one for true enthusiasts.
jim gregory

I have both Tips...
Currently running Non-res. The sound is a little bit louder at idle. What you give up with the res tips is the intoxicating wail from 3500 to redline. The res tips stip out that sound leaving you with a loud shhhhh of air.
Yes, they are interchangeable and it's pretty easy.

resonated vs. non-resonated (pic)
The resonator tips are built like small mufflers. Externally they are the same as the non-res tips, but inside you see the perforated tubing like within the muffler. Technically, due to their size and minimal packing, they are similar to a standard resonator that is usually in the middle of an exhaust system. The resonated tips take a bit of the edge off the sound of the VelociMaxII, but it still has a very nice deep growl to it.
