Question/help on 3M Clear Bra...
I am trying to get some information and impressions on this 3M Clear Bra. Where can you get it installed? I am assuming that I would want a professional to do this. How much would the entire front end cost(guesstimit): full hood and front bumper? Does applying wax to the Clear Bra cause any problems? TIA.

Re the 3-M clear film...
I have it and like it. The entire front end, including crescents above the wheel wells, a strip on the hood and one on the forward part of the roof was around $850, but they had to do a one-off for the RS4 nose profile.
I use Armourfend. Call them and find an installer near you. Installer skills vary, so try to get some references.
Do not use this stuff on a light-colored car, because UV rays cause it to yellow slightly. On a Santorin Blue car like mine, it's great.
Do not wax the film coating or apply any abrasive material to it, especially something like the dreaded red shop towel.

We install 3M paint protection film in the SF bay area. If your not local, I can put you in touch with a quality installer near you. After installation the film can be washed, waxed and treated as any other painted surface of the car, just no buffing machines since theres a potential to create too much heat. We recommend Zaino Bros. waxes since they dry clear and leave no visible buildup along edges. Let me know if you have any other questions about paint protection film!
