Ever notice a lag or hesitation during the one-two shift change? Wondering if it's just my car or normal for the Tip.

Yeah its normal.

I have a worse one on the two-one shift where the whole car lurches and makes a nice thud sound.

Aparently that's normal too.

I have noticed what I would characterize as a "flat spot" in the power delivery right after the one-two upshift, but only at full throttle, and it is very brief. An effort to prolong the life of the Tip, perhaps?

Only on first driving off in the morning does the 1-2 shift happen at 3K or so

"I have 400 miles on my silver/onyx/Tip S4 and absolutely love the car with one exception. When the Tip shifts from 1st to 2nd gear under light to moderate throttle, there is a noticeable (although smooth) lurch and the car bogs down momentarily in 2nd until the rpms recover. Is this true with your Tip? Is it adjustable by the dealer service dept.? Or should I just mentally adjust and get over it?"

Same here, I think that's normal for auto
