Default Questions about trading Apr ecu for giac ecu.

Hey guys, thinking about trading my apr ecu for a giac x ecu straight up. My only Qs are, will i be able to still uprade to new programs for free? Or get the 200 discounts when i upgrade since im not the original owner? Id love to try out the giac, but i can get a stock ecu and sell my loaded Apr ecu and just get the giac software myself? But it would be nice to trade straight and do it for free? Any help or opinons would be greatly appreciated.

Default I am in the same boat. I would appreciate some input.

I have an APR 93 and I can only get 91 here in Salt Lake.

Default Contact your GIAC distributor. I purchased an ECU with fhe GIAC

software used and AWE honored my upgrade to the 3- software as well as, flashing the newest versions.

Default I would suggest you try it first (if you haven't). When I was stage 2 I had APR and...

bought a used GIAC ECU. It really wasn't that much quicker. This was the newer code for both tuners and the GIAC wasn't as abrupt as some of the older code.

If I remember correctly my FATS was less than .1 quicker and I have seen that much change on different runs with my current set up (ASP 3+).

You also might look at some of the other stage 1/2 packages such as ASP and EPL. Many are pleased with their performance and cost.

Default I sold my APR and bought a GIAC. GIAC does offer free upgrades but you may have to pay

your local shops labor fee for their time to flash it.

Default Ditto. Exactly 0.1 sec faster on mine in a FATS pull with worse drivability.

But to each his own I guess.... ran X on 2 occasions for a few weeks, kept the APR v5(when I had K03s.)

Default Can i add the flashloader if im not the original user? I want to have stock/xr.

Also, i want the x for when my ko3s blow, and throw ko4s in and mbc/tcd it. And the apr isn't to friendly when it comes to that.
