Default Quick help: Any way to remove a hubcentric ring/adapter from OZ SL?

Think I figured out my wobbling problem. I took off a bent rim, and installed a new replacement that didn't have a hubcentric adapter installed ... nor did I get an extra one with the new wheel. So the wobbling didn't go away because it couldn't seat properly. D'oh.

Now I'm trying to figure out how to get the ring off the bent wheel. They "snap" into place and there's no outwardly evident way to "release" it so I can get it off. Plus, with near 35k miles of use, it's a bit rusty.

HELP!

Take centercap off the bent rim and bang away at the adapter from the outside.

Default go to Home Depot and get a pick tool with a hook on the end.

or go ghetto and pry it off with a butter knife.

Default Been trying to pry with a properly fitting screwdriver, but it won't budge

I sprayed it with WD-40 to loosen the grip of rust, and it now spins freely ... but she doesn't show signs of wanting to pop out.

Default Kinda what I'm doing now; affraid of bending the adapter.

Seems a pretty tough piece, but would hate for it to bend.

heat the wheel, ice on the ring, maybe just maybe that will work.

Default Never mind ... GOT IT! When in doubt, BFH! ;-)

Just wasn't using a big enough hammer or screw driver. Popped right out. Yeah.

Now I hope my wobbling is gone.

Default PB Blaster eats rust.

Use something like PB Blaster to break down the rust a bit, then take another stab at removing it. The rings are plastic...so they should come out pretty easily.
