Random exhaust question:
Would there be any reason why you couldn't cut a hole in the top of this muffler essentially recreating the design seen on this EIP exhaust for an MK4 R32?
Here's the muffler:

Here's the EIP Exhaust:

For some reason it appears that it wouldn't flow that well..
I may be wrong, but I assume that any of those mufflers that were built to be mounted transverse like that should have some type of a small Y inside to channel the air (rather than the T shape which is what you'd get if you drilled a hole and welded a pipe to it- if that makes sense?)
P.S. this is off topic but what are you driving right now?

Exactly. After some research I figured that out as well.
I'm assuming the EIP exhaust has a Y type bend inside the muffler leading out to the tips. I never realized how a muffler worked until I just did some research... so that makes sense.
Right now I'm driving a 2006 Silver 330i... I saw you driving by Sehome the other day. I've been meaning to call you one of these days... I just picked up a 2000 S4 sedan in brilliant black! Sorry for copying you. I have some pretty big plans for it... I'll have to tell you about them sometime. The car is on it's way over from Salt Lake City so I'll give you a call when it gets into town and we should meetup sometime for sure!

Yeah I drive by there alot now... I just moved into a new house across the street from the WWU rec center.. Its on 20th its the first house you can see from the road there(college way or whatever it is) right above the gravel parking lot, so any time you go by get on it up that hill.. ha ha .
I live with Stewart (with the green s6) and you should definitely stop by when you get a chance and have a beer or two or 10
no sweat on copying me, we all know black is the best color, and i wasn't the first to have it either
