Default Check for a coolant leak

The resevoirs have been know to crack in MY2000. It either cracks on the bottom or you get a slow leak from the front side hose. From personal experience, btw.

Default I don't think it's either...

It's coming out of the exhaust.
If my reservoir was leaking, the car would need to warm up before it would burn and not out the exhaust. *Triple shiver* If it was a blown head gasket, I'd know. It wouldn't be just a puff...I hope!

Default You WILL get white smoke from the exhaust . . .

that's what made me look under the hood . . . only to find caked up coolant on that front hose, my coolant level low & a ton of coolant stains on the block & engine covers.

If it's not, then that's one less thing to worry about.

Default Sure, from the exhaust, but not out of the exhaust...

The leak needs to be internal for it to be sent through and out of the exhaust.
