I've seen this, too - as has about 1/2 of the total Internet population, and the debate continues as to whether or not this is a joke (hopefully!!) or not (I weep for the future).

I'm pretty sure the photo is basically as taken but...
"real"? I mean some rich suburban white kids trying to look like Gangsta rappers? Well, Michael Jackson is trying to look like a white woman...is that real?
I really don't see anything in the photo that indicates much more than minor Photoshop work but what is in the minds of these kids is a different matter entirely hehehehe.

oh wait...I take some of that back...
I'm not 100% convinced they were standing in that scene...there are a number of oddities but I don't like the dark line around the kid on the right's shorts and the right hand edge of the kid in the bright green shorts is VERY dark...that looks like a sloppy clipping path.
Surprisingly the jewlery looks genuine to me but the "reflections" are not. The kid on the right's big honking bracelet (what happened to the good ole days when little boys wearing jewelry were beaten-up?) on his right wrist may be fake...the pixels don't match up right. I also doubt that tatoo.
So now that I've looked it it with a critical eye...it has alot of elements which are fake but I DO believe the three guys are genuine...some or MOST of their jewelry was real (except the sparkles) and its not entirely convincing that they were in the shot with the cars.

so someone went to the trouble of at LEAST putting the "shines" on the jewelry but they didn't retouch out the pimples on the kid on the left's face...HAHAHAHAHAHA
