Default If its the OEM bolt, then yes.

Some of the aftermarket axle and wheel bearing kits come with standard bolts rather than hex key.

Default I stopped at a shop with a SnapOn truck sitting outside. ~$25 ...but worth it to have a good one

and lend it out to anyone local.

and, still plenty cheaper pulling the upright myself and having someone just press the wheel bearing.

Pretty much every auto parts store sells a package of 1/2" drive 11, 14 and 17 mm hex sockets.

Default thats what i'm doing too, pulling the upright and having a shop press in/out bearings.

I just finished the fronts, and now the rears. When i opened up my rear wheel bearing box, to my suprise, I notice that audi threw another curve ball and had to make rear axle bolt 14mm instead of the 17mm front. I never thought they would do such a thing. Looking for a snapon truck is a good idea. I'll keep an eye out.

Default really? I have found that harbor freight tools are cheaper than Craftsman for a reason.

buy, break, buy again ... and still cheaper than the alternatives.

SnapOn makes quality tools, imo.

Default back when I was doing this job, AutoZone, Pepboys, Adv Auto, etc. didn't carry the size anymore.

they were selling more neon lights and dual wiper blades, and had to make room.
