Rear Diff. noisy!! Replace with Used/New/Rebuild..or Repair mine.. My Options? Your experiance?
Pretty sure my undercar whine is the rear diff.. what options do I have for repair? What have you guys done...how much did it cost?

I wish...but NOT a wheel bearing.
I ran 5/16" tubing under car to about 10 different areas and listened for the noise as I drove (wheels, trans, Rear diff etc.) Whine/bearing howl seems to come from the rear diff.

Well if you have any warranty left it would be a good idea to see what they say
If not find a good machine shop that is experienced in setting up rear diffs. You can diy a rebuild if you have the know-how and tools, but it is something that most people are not willing to tackle. Talk to a shop and see what they say and how interested they are in working with something like this. If you feel uneasy about a shop, go somewhere else. A poorly set rear end will be noisy and wear excessively. Now would also be a good time to consider a LSD from stasis.
