Ever think it may be a wheel bearing?

Make sure it's not the center diff. before deciding.

Default I wish...but NOT a wheel bearing.

I ran 5/16" tubing under car to about 10 different areas and listened for the noise as I drove (wheels, trans, Rear diff etc.) Whine/bearing howl seems to come from the rear diff.

Loud whine? New fluid? Lower the rear seats to be sure it's the rear diff.

Default Well if you have any warranty left it would be a good idea to see what they say

If not find a good machine shop that is experienced in setting up rear diffs. You can diy a rebuild if you have the know-how and tools, but it is something that most people are not willing to tackle. Talk to a shop and see what they say and how interested they are in working with something like this. If you feel uneasy about a shop, go somewhere else. A poorly set rear end will be noisy and wear excessively. Now would also be a good time to consider a LSD from stasis.
