Default rear speaker deck removal....(stuck on step 1)

I folded the seats down and I'm trying to get the trim pieces off but I can't seem to unhook them.

Does anyone have some pictures of where your placing your hands or perhaps verbaly explain how you remove those trim pieces?

(and just to be sure I have the right one....it's the padded leather sides that are 3-4" wide and go from the bottom to the top of the back seats along the doors.....right?)

Default I was able to lift them up enough to see that there's a bit of a "hook" <more>

toward the center of the piece IIRC. It took me a few minutes but they came off. The seat just pops right up when you pull. Hope that helps.

There is a screw that holds it down at the bottom, make sure to remove that. After that screw is off, then you just need to lift it up and away from the bottom.

There is a little catch hook at the top, but it will come undone when you pull up.

How do I remove the screw...also when it says remove the seat...does that mean take the seatback out completely? or is it the actual seat you sit on?

to remove the screw you have to take off the bottom seat. that just lift up and out from the front. no screws or nuts holding that down.

when that is off, just use a standard phillips screwdriver on the screw.

oh, and after that... dont forget to remove the child seat anchors, the plastics just lift off and then a socket to unscrew them. same with the rear brake light.. that need to come off also. you have to unscrew that from under the deck.

then just remove the rear deck. its held in place with some sticky adhesive stuff, like double sided tape, but just keep lifting and pulling.

Default probably too late to be of help but here's the fix-

the write up doesn't go far enough explaining how to remove the trim piece from the hook that holds it at the bottom.
The hook is a metal tab that was (in my case) folded so far down over the trim piece attached to it no amount of "pushing down" would ever release it. What you have to do is bend up this tab by lifting it slightly with 2 fingers (you can see it if you look up underneath the trim priece). The tab is soft metal. Then the trim piece will slide off easily from the bottom. When reinstalled, bend the tab back down enough to hold the trim piece snugly. Hope this helps you, or at least future viewers.
