I come to a traffic light where there are two lanes which converge to the left into one up ahead. The right lane is typically reserved for right hand turns at the light or a side street a few hundred yards ahead. A true Yooper redneck pulls up next to me at the light and keeps easing his car ahead by a few inches at a time. The light turns, he rockets ahead. I do my normal conservative start in first and wind it up a bit, then shift to second and really start winding it out. The turbos spool up as I pull abreast of him. Hearing the noise, he looks over to see what's going on and his expression changes to a look of absolutely sheer incredulity as if "How could anything possibly come from behind and match my magnificent Pontiac". I wave to him with a big smile and pull ahead. I see him mouth the WTF words to his wife and strain to see what just left him in the dust. Let's face it ... you'd never get that kind of look if you had a Z06. Made my day!
