My friend is a pro installer of remote starters/ alarms but has never touched a manual. I have heard about shift rings and other stuff to keep the car from starting in gear.

Can someone outline this, or is there a DIY? He will definetely be able to do it, if someone could explain what to use and how.

had it in my A6, was never a problem because i was taught to park the car in neutral, never in gear

i had it installed by a local installer, but this(as far as i know) is the only one that will work with a manual tranny, they are pretty good product, i am definately happy with mine
