Default Repair costs out of warranty.

Interested in seeing what others paid for similar work. This is a dealership quote.

Replace both cam tensioner seals $1150
Replace both motor mounts $1050
Replace coolant tank, flush and fill coolant $235

I know the coolant is basically a DIY thing, but it's my understanding the tensioner seals and motor mounts are a PITA.

TIA

Nada. Went in to check out an oil leak. The other things they just found while looking at it.

Default ouch... any shops nearby you?

i'd definitely opt elsewhere than the dealership, if one is available.

i paid $480 for rs4 motor mounts ($150 parts, $330 installation).

cam tensioner seals should be in the $800 range, maybe a little less.

Default I changed the coolant expansion tank myself, saved about $80, I think I got a quote for $152 for the

flush, but I already had the coolant and a coupon. Ended up costing me $75. They figuire about $20 for the coolant and $132 labor for the flush. Dave

Default ONE MORE THING....When I was at the dealer, I was just curious and asked how much a Turbo swap cost

and they quoted me $1500, I thought it sounded pretty good. I'm trying to figuire out why everyone says that turbo swaps run between 6-7K? Researching new turbo's, I figuired about $1600 for the pair and $1500 labor=$3100. I was just curious for future repairs if they do indeed go on me. Is there something I'm missing here?
