REPOST: Discrepency in H&R Street Coilovers...TIA!!!
#2
Call H&R to check. But here's what I was told...
I hacve H&R coilovers, and I ran into the same questions as their web page used to list the 1" munimum, now shown as 1.6". Apparently, at the 1" drop, some of the shocks "top-out" which could lead to excessive wear on the shock. Due to the variances in weight for S4's, for different build dates, they changed they spec. I feel they did this to avoid any warranty issues with blown shocks set at the old spec. Thus, I've copied that old spec, and have it in with my warranty papers and reciepts.
I've only had mine a short time, but have not had any issues yet. The new 1.6" may be to low for some, depending on your cars front end weight and wheel/tire mods.
