ive had mtm stage 1 and giac tip race chip for 18k miles and i dont think its smooth at all. infact, ive noticed that the tranny seems to clunk either when i floor it, or hesitate when going from 1st to 2nd. Actually i would classify the shiftning as anything BUT smooth. But the shifting is noticably faster when your traveling around 40mph and slam the kick down. i usually hear a *THUMP* and the car rockets off.

Abt.....from personal experience is just as smooth as stock and FAST

Are you talking about an ECU chip or Tip tranny chip? I think S4 from GT is talking about Tip tranny

someone put me in my S4 and changed back and forth between stock-tip & chip-tip. Under what conditions was it smoother?
