rotors quality vs. price

counterpoint: no vibration problems here with the slotted dba's and..........
the slots keep the pads de-glazed.
However, I do agree with you that there is no stopping distance improvement.

I've driven a car with the early DBA's imported into the US...
The stuttering from the brake pedal was worse than any other slotted rotor I've ever seen. I don't even know how these rotors ever made it into production if DBA ever road tested those rotors. They've since made a slight change to their slot patterns, but I'm not sure I'd want a set of their rotors after that. It also brings into question the effectiveness of their kangaroo paw venting. Is it really any better, or just marketing?
The OEM's do the job required of them...and at the point where they break down and fail to do the job...I'm not sure any of the aftermarket replacements for OEM would do the job any better (short of the stasis XDR's, and perhaps the ECS 2 pc).

AWE doesn't sell DBA rear rotors.
They bought a set and copied the slot design and had that exact design cut into stock rotors.
Keep in mind you are buying stock rear rotors, not DBA.
IMO, they are not the same quality as teh DBA rear rotors.

I've used Zimmerman the last 100,000 miles without problems
That said, I don't know much about rotors. I guess if it isn't broken don't fix it, right? I'll continue with the Zimmermans.
