Default Sounds like good project for you Don...very curious about this myself.

I think stage 2 with upgraded intercoolers would be a nice option to consider.

Default I'm on the verge of ripping my IC off my car and doing it myself

What would be hard about it ?

You need to supply pressure and you need a gauge on the inlet and outlet...subtract and there ya go.

Am I missing something ? I would just want some very basic data.

Indeed. There's the matter of $700 for ICs. Spent my play money on amps for home audio system.

Default I know I could go further with a whole bunch of tests

like you mentioned cooling efficiency, recovery time etc...The only thing I would be concerned with is pressure drop. That's the main thing thats going to effect how hard the turbo has to work so that's my only concern since I'll have ghetto testing equipment at best haha

Default definitely, there's alot more to choosing a good IC than pressure drop

however out of the variables I can think of for testing out an IC I can think of only one that will effect the turbo's PR and it's pressure drop

Default Well it was closer to 1.6lbs @ 18psi for a K04

You'd need to go over 20psi for the full 2lbs
