Default RS4 ICs on S4, hose issue

hi all,

a friend of mine is getting RS4 IC's installed on his S4 mit RS4 turbos (and full milltek system+race cats), as well as 440cc injectors. The problem is that the RS4 IC endtanks don't look anything like the S4 (according to our mechanic) so apparently the S4 samcos won't fit them...

what do you people have installed there?

Thanks or any input,

Mihnea

Default I have them installed (bought from APR) and the hoses came with them..

not sure if they are different sizes or not, but most kits include the hoses.

Default You need special hoses from Achtuning or APR

I had this same problem. I got the Samco hose kit and its worthless. They won't extend far enough on the lower tank ends and barely are long enough for the top ones.

Default Tell him to pick up the APR hose kit...

It's less than $300, and it is by far, the best option for RS4 IC installs, regardless of tuner allegiance.

Default yeah, the RS4 units are quite different from the S4 ones...

S4 on Left
RS4 in Middle
AWE on Right

Default Minhea, call Brian @ ECS Tuning, they can get you the right hoses.

Also, fyi, sold my S6 last week. I think I already have sellers remorse. Thanks for the tune, it pulled hard and ran well!

Default hey, thanks, too bad for the S6, I really liked it...

although it's been a bitch to sort out all its issues before we could tune it :-))))

my friend called ECS already and is getting the hoses, so hopefully I'll be able to tune the car pretty soon.

Did a 490HP/650Nm (at the crank) RS4 this weekend, really liked it too, although it's different... :-)

Cheers,

Mihnea

Default I really liked it too, great daily driver, but it was too slow!

My S4 did 430 at the wheels on 104 at 20 psi over the summer, but I'm sure you'll be able to figure out a way to beat that! Once you do, please share
