So I was on my way over to my office to drop off some paperwork (don't make any remarks LI-S4) when I come up to a light and what happens to be in front of me but a '04 red GTO. Since the right lane was already taken, I was subject to staying behind him. So to make sure he knew I was there a kinda crept up on his bumper little bit. So the light turns green and he drops the clutch at a moderately aggressive level and chirps the tires just a slight bit. After taking first gear to a mid range shift into second, I hear him keep it in second at about 45mph and I'm doing the same. Once he sees that the right lane traffic has cleared enough for me to take position in it, this dork decides to hit it. Well I happen to be just lucky enough that right before he hit it I was moving into that right lane and I was preparing to do it in a fairly aggressive way with the intension to lay off once I was side by side with him. So since he hit it prematurely (before I was next to him) I wound up just pushing second gear to redline (thanks Doc ;p) and began to overtake him. I then rowed it into third gear in the most Jesus-Like way possible. I caught third on a perfect upswing, the boost was right there and I pulled that Goat like the stubborn Goat he was. I shut it down at about 6k in third. Looked back right before I shut it down and he was about two cars behind. Not one or one and a half cars, a full two....believe me I made sure. 30 seconds later he's about 4 cars back and guess what he did next? I couldn't believe it but yes.......he did a classic ricer fly-by. He had to be pissed. Embarresed him in front of his girlfriend. Maybe he shouldn't have told her that that 350 was more than enough to beat the local imports!

Yea, I know it wasn't an '05, but I'm still very proud of the old girl. Stock 2000 6sp(silver)

did i read this right that you have a stock 2000 S4?

something smells funny here....there is really no way a stock 2000 S4 should beat a GTO. GTO's put down around 300 hp and 300 ft lbs to the ground stock..an S4 does about 180 hp and 205 ft lbs....thats not even in the same leauge as a GTO...i read your story and figured you at least had a stage 1 or 2 setup then i get to the signature and it says stock 2000 S4...i dunno man, i REALLY doubt the guy was even trying because theres no way you shouldve beat that car.

im not trying to flame you, i dont particularly like GTO's and i happen to own a 2001 A6 2.7T so i am familiar with the drivetrain and audi's but this story just sounds too good to be true.
