Apparently, Audi doesn't seem to be going to bring in the S4 Avant next year. I asked my dealer (Rusnak/Pasadena) to confirm/deny this with AoA.

He placed a call to the AoA head of marketing and they said they will not bring the S4 over.

If anybody has proof contrary to this, please let me know as I really want the S4 Avant and am willing to wait, but only if it is a sure thing.

Just exactly how clear a message did you get back from them? Did the actually *talk* to the director of marketing, or is that just the office they *attempted* to call, and were' happy with the receptionist's answer, since it was they answer they needed to get you to buy a car now, and not 1 yr from now?

Sorry for the cynicism - my dealer has built a strong track record of telling me what they wanted me to hear, when it meant less work for them.

Matt posted during the Monterey Historics that someone from AoA said they were not going to be bringing the avant here, yet at the same time was "nodding his head YES, they will bring it." I also talked to a saleman and he said the same thing that as of now they will not be officially be bringing them but they make an announcement later changing their stance.

Sorry I don't have a firm answer for you.

Sales guy did talk to AoA, and I trust him very much so. He said that if the Avant is going to be brought over (before the phone conversation with AoA) then I should wait and get the car that I really want. So he wasn't trying to get me to buy the car now at all.
