Default Re: another CHP story...

Some time ago I was going to a fellow S4 owners house for a visit. Just as I overtook a car (me about 20 over) a trooper going the other way popped me with instant. Busted. The trooper proceeded to turn around in the median but it had been raining heavily over the last few days... he plowed first then slid sideways in the mud bog... got stuck.

Default Wow, southern cops usually know about the whole rain-median thing...

Out here in CA, it's a different story. I've seen CHP stuck in the median after a good rain.

Default I've been driving and getting pulled over for quite a few years...

Believe me, there's been many more times where I was not eligible and they simply went on my record!

A brake light turn off switch would have helped; you wouldn't have to rely on the emergency brake

Default It would be tickier for me to reach for a switch than the hand brake lever which I reach for...

instinctively. No need to hassel with wiring switches and trying to find a switch at the moment of caution. Like I said a big lever to the right of my thigh works perfect. Although, I guess if your on a continuous spirited run, the brake light switch might not be a bad idea. But, I only use mine when I actually see a cop.
