Best I could do without too much abuse today...~80F ambiant temp... Sunoco GT100 race fuel, APR EMCS..no race fuel program.. was 14.109 @ 99.13mph... Do I suck?

Anyhow, my first time out, and it was fun...

Default can we see the split times?...

typically the problem lies in the 60' time. Lets look at your complete slips and we can see what's working and what's not.

Also, what was your EXACT launch technique?

Default Re: can we see the split times?...

I'll scan it tomorrow, but here it is...
.807 RT
2.040 60ft
5.924 330ft
9.145 1/8th ET
76.93 1/8 MPH
11.837 1000' ET
14.109 1/4 ET
99.13 1/4 MPH

Really I was trying pretty hard not to abuse the clutch too much.... I drove through the water, (no VHT today, despite what a couple people lead me to believe) then staged normally, not "deep".

Rev to ~3k and slip the clutch a bit to engage. I did not bog the launch, and I feel like my 2.040 60' time is decent... am I wrong?

I was basically shifting around redline... I probably need better shiftpoints?

Default For comparison...

...with the stock ECU, and a 2500 slip launch, I had:

2.02 60'
5.98 330'
9.27 1/8@75.93
12.06 1000'
14.39 1/4@####

You look a little slow, even for a beginner, and even with that launch. My run above was a best of 3 (my first ever) where the super sticky surface bogged two drop clutch launches from 4000-4500rpm. A fourth run would easily have netted me a ~14.20. This was in the mid-70's on reformulated gas and potentially sticking Forge valves.

As far as shift points, run 'em out to redline in 1st and 2nd, then cut back to 6400-6500 in the higher gears with an APR chip (unless the 3-4 shift would be premature enough that you could cross the line still in 3rd).
