S4 newbie; rubbing/grinding at low speed; please help
Is it normal?? I did searched this forum, and found somewhat conflicting opinions. ?nl with AWD?
This happens only at very low speed (driveway, stopsign), with slight steering input, and while letting the clutch up (this one difficult to tell sometimes, not sure whether clutch associated 100%). It is a very low frequency noise, you almost only feel it through your feet/body.
Should I worry? Luv this car.
thx, tzigi
2001 S4, 6spd, stock for now

What is rubbing/grinding?
What do you thing is actually rubbing/griding?
Does it happen at the front wheels?
Does it happen when you turn the car left or right at slow speeds?
Not sure exactly where you are feeling the rubbing?
I drive the Tiptronic, and I used to feel some small amount of the front tires rubbing against the asphalt, especially at low speeds, mostly while turning (moving out of my parking space in the garage).
I have come to realize, that it was mostly due to incorrect tire pressure! For a while, I thought something was wrong with my Quattro option.
Not sure this is of any help to you.
