Maybe it's that "self leveling" feature in operation...

I've noticed the same, but what really seems off right now is the fact they seem aimed too low. The two don't seem aimed at the same level either, because there isn't a straight line of light at edge of the lighted area. Have a call into the dealer to figure this out. Maybe we need to check with some A6 owners.

Default in addition, the two lights aren't the same height...

my left headlight it higher than the right, and they meet in the middle in a "Z" shape... strange. The lights are the right level, just off by a bit at the middle. It is cool however to watch the self-leveling feature kick in when you first turn on lights. Anyone else about the first part of this message?

I have the opposite problem. The left is lower than the right. Bringing it in tommorow for an adjustment. Have the same thing with the Z in the middle.

Default Xenons thoroughly impressed me...

I rode in one a couple nights ago, and I noticed a very distinct upward zig where the left beam met the right beam. I'm assuming it's deliberate, to shield oncoming drivers from the brightness while lighting up more of the ground to your right. We were on a 4-lane road (2 lanes each direction) with no one in front us (like, duh!!!) and it made perfect sense. The left beam was lower, and the right beam lit up the right part of the road and the entire shoulder.

When we were stopped at an intersection with a car in front of us, I could also see the distinct cutoff on the back of the car. It was quite interesting.

I gotta say, I was really impressed with the xenons. Now don't get me started on the new white-ish speedo/tach needles. They are too cool against the red background....

In summary, the S4 at night is quite a treat!!
