S4 seats: does Radio Shack sell a tool to determine resistance?
I'd like to replace my front seats but don't want the airbag light to stay on. Is there a simple tool that will allow me to "dial-in" resistance to to see what ohms turn off the light?
Does anyone know if:
1. Disconnecting the seats from the airbag "circuit" will in anyway effect the other airbags?
2. Is there anyway I can accidentally deploy any of the airbags? --my luck
3. Has anyone determined the required resistance to do this?
After having an A4 loaner with non-power seats I really like the extra head room and want the same in my Avant.
Thanks,
Chris

A potentiometer provides variable resistance as you turn or slide it. Radioshack has all kinds.
You can verify what the right resistance is then leave in the pot or get the appropriate resistor.
