S4 Speeding Tickets Poll (and semi long close call story)

It's my opinion, of course, but I think anyone who ever gets behind the wheel drunk
shows irreversable impairment for driving safely.
If you think guns kill kids, you ought to check out drunk drivers. No excuse, ever. IMHO.<p>Jim De Arras

20+ years of experience
..... having worked in an operating room for the last 20+ years, I can
honestly say that 99.9% of all patients involved in a motor vehicle accident
had been drinking, or were high on drugs ...... or the patients injuries were
the result of the other motorist being drunk are high. As we often say in the
operating room ... "We never see the winners, only the losers!" This is the
stark reality of where drinking and driving will eventually get you are someone else.

Here's One (Close Call )
First, let me take a sec to say hello to everybody. I've been lurking since Oct. 99 and occasionally posting on this board since about April 00.
Anyway, I've had one close call where I flew by a State Patrolman at about 120 mph and somehow didn't get a ticket when he came after me. Check out the link below for the story. ( Hope it works, first time with trying a link. )

Ya, but bars still have parking lots....
I don't think we are against drunk driving, but just don't get caught. Like drugs, think of all the money involved, no one would really seriously consider stopping the drug flow, it might financally bankrupt the country. If we legalized drugs, and went to a flat tax, we could empty our jails, cut or government in half, put a lot of lawyer, and accountants out of work, and cut our tax bill in half.

85 in a 55 nj tpike..got away basically.....50 in a 30..BANG
I think the unspoken rule is this: You get away clean ONCE a year. After that all bets are off. I was doing 85 and cop nailed me. Told him I was passing a trailer ...cop gave me a ticket for visual obstruction in my window (pure fabrication but I wasn't going to complain)..next time..nailed doing 53 in a 30...plea bargained at court to an improper passing.. haven't had a ticket in 2 years while driving the following: Starion, Rx7 TurboII, Neon ACR, Dakota RT..until the S4
