Default Search making my head spin. Can someone describe what might be considered normal clutch shudder

for a high performance clutch good for stage 3+ power. I assume that some shudder is the tradeoff for the holding power. What I can't get my head around is how much is "normal" shudder for a high performance clutch. Is it something that just the driver can feel under certain scenarios or would it be considered "normal" for the whole vehicle to shake to the point that an unsuspecting passenger looks over at you like you have no f'ing clue how to drive.

I'm trying to decide if I want to step back to an RS4 clutch to keep the refinement in my car. My fear is that with hybrid turbos stage 3+ and 400 pounds heavier than an S4 that a RS4 clutch won't hold up. On the other hand, this is a family car and I can't have it shaking like a cement mixer when I pull away from red lights.

Can anyone shed some light for me. thanks.

Default Is it only at WOT/high boost? I've had a shudder before that was a boost leak.

I thought the clutch was slipping, but it turned out to be a torn vacuum line.

No shudder whatsoever with my ASP stage 4 clutch and I am 3+ (K04/RS6).

Default No. Starting from a stop, non-agressive, everyday pulling away in 1st gear.

that moment when the clutch is trying to engage and because of the grabbiness of the clutch it shudders.

Default My clutch is/was ASP as well on a resurfaced flywheel. It shuddered like a ****.

This is why I am asking. I didn't know if this was "normal" or not because I was told to expect some grabbiness from it.

Hmmm... Strange. Maybe a bad re-surface? I don't have any grabbiness with mine.

Default I have the same issue with my ferramic clutch from ASP. Grabs well, but difficult to be smooth...

I was told by someone who tracks cars often that the clutch felt "normal", i.e. like a performance racing clutch.

My flywheel was also resurfaced, not sure if that would have anything to do with it, but I notice that I get an "elastic" response sometimes when shifting gears, as if the flywheel is traveling to its limits, causing the car to lurch. Weird.

I do feel like an *** when driving colleagues around, especially getting out of first. But then again, the clutch hasn't slipped on me yet!
