Default Semi-OT, but not really: Good Track Car?

I need suggestions for a good track car. It could be something like a Mistsu EvoVI or something like the Champion Audi S4 racecar. Sugguestions would be good, just as long as it is under $100,000. Thanks

Default Do you really expect us to answer that?

Besides from the fact most of us haven't drove the EVO VI, and god knows how many actully drove the Champion S4 outside of Champion thus we can't even compare them.

Then the fact that your questions is just plain wack..

Default The question isn't how much you are willing to spend on your track car now..

.. but how much you are willing to spend on maintainence.

a 100k car is going to cost ALOT per yer to keep running + tweaked right (let alone repair if you bang it up or something goes south).

Default Good Lord. If you're spending that much, it needs to be a race car, not a track car...

...lots of the Speedvision WC Touring Cars cost less than $100,000 to field, and they actually get to race, ON TV.

If you've really got a decent budget for a "track car", get a Porsche 944 Turbo, or maybe a Porsche 914 with a 1.8T engine.

If you want to go booko crazy on the money for a "track car", buy a new Corvette Z06 and upgrade its weak components.

Default I've had by far the best bang for the buck with a camaro z28...

spend a couple grand for good suspension. duct the front brakes and that thing is good to go. very reliable, powerful, fun. my z06 is much better but it's only about 5 seconds faster around SIR for over 4x the cost of what i sold the z28 for.
