Shade Tree Mechanic Time: A/C Restrictor
I'd hate leaving the full diagnosis up to my Service department, for obvious reason. But this time the problem domain is something I don't particually feel like screwing with, the A/C system.
So here's the problem whenever the car is on and the climate control is off and has been off for quite a few days, I get condensation and refrigerant flowing through the A/C lines, going through the firewall. Two possible suspects are a bad restrictor and/or stuck compressor clutch. I doubt it's the clutch since there is no extra load on the engine at idle. Anyway I'm fishing for opinions or similar stories. NO IT'S NOT THE ENGINE VACCUM GOING TO THE CLIMATE CONTROL..
TIA...
