S4MIDABLE

An Audi tuner told me that the stock shocks on my S4 would be worn out at around 20k-23k miles. He's going to install an APR chip and is recommending shocks and springs. I would like to do it, but do you really believe that the stock set up will be worn out at this mileage?

I've heard 25-30k quoted for shocks in general. Fact or fiction, I can't really say.

Every set of Bilstiens I have ever had have gone 50-75k

It's your choice how far you want to go with them, before you replace them. If you're happy with the ride, don't feel pressured into replacing the shocks. The chip may change your mind though...it'll make your car feel like a rolling pogo stick, even if your shocks were new! :-)
